Congratulations to the following students for winning first place in our
Anti- Smoking Poster contest!!!! You may see the posters on the window in
front of our office. Kindergarten—Natalie Musolf, 1st
grade—Katie Moffett, 2nd grade—Taylor DePlanche, 3rd
grade—McKenzie Fuller, and 4th grade—James Heinonen. All of
the posters were great, and it was hard to decide on just one from each
grade level. NICE JOB EVERYONE!!
- The end
of the school year is approaching fast. Our last day of school is May 27th.
Report cards will be mailed home the first week in June. Please make sure
we have your correct mailing address. The dates for the end of the year
activities are on the back side of this newsletter.
- Our 3rd
and 4th grade Musical will be held Monday, May 9th
at the Athens High School. The program begins at 6:30. Everyone is
invited to come and listen to our many talented 3rd and 4th
grade students.
- Field
trips have been scheduled. If you have not already received paperwork for
your child to go on their field trip, you will receive it shortly. Make
sure you complete the permission form, sign it and return it to your
child’s teacher. No student will be allowed to attend the field trip
unless we have this form returned. Many times, classes leave for the trip
as soon as all of the buses have arrived. There is no time to call home
for a forgotten permission slip. In these cases the students must stay at
school and sit in another grade level classroom. Thank you for your
attention to this matter.
- Track and Field
Day is Fri. May 20th, with a rain date of Mon. May 23rd.
Please look in your child’s Friday Folder this week for the 1st
through 4th grade Track and Field Day participation
guidelines. Please discuss these rules with your child, as they will be
strictly enforced. Thank you for your cooperation.
