If you have a young student(s) who you think will be ready for school in the fall, please take time to fill out this survey. We are looking into the possibility of offering a Pre-k program as well. The data from the survey will help us understand the needs and wants of the community.

East Leroy is looking into the possibility of offering before and after-care. Filling out the survey below will provide us with the needs and wants of the community.

The Athens Area Schools Board of Education and the Administration announced today they are launching a new initiative to guide them through a three- to five-year Strategic Plan. The process will include community and staff input events, data collection and other efforts to create a shared vision and goals for the future of the district and strategies to achieve them, all while using scarce public education resources in the most effective and efficient way. 

Strategic Planning session is on Saturday, January 24, from 8:30 to 4:30 at the NHBP community center. Stakeholder feedback will be an important part of the planning process.

Family Survey for Strategic Planning Input

Athens Area Schools invite you to join the conversation for our district's strategic planning for Athens Area Schools. Kacie Kefgen with the Michigan Association of School Boards will be holding an in-person town meeting on November 18th at 7 pm in the High School Library. The purpose of this meeting is to collect information from the public on how the district can best serve our children and the community.  Please attend and invite friends and family, too. In addition, below please find a Zoom invite for the 19th for those who can not attend in person .
